Girls Academies

JUNIOR GIRLS SPORTS ACADEMY

The Bachar Houli Foundation Junior Girls Sports Academy is a 12-month wrap-around program delivered to 12 to 14-year-old Islamic girls.

In a culturally safe environment, the Academy framework is designed to introduce the core fundamentals of high-performance training and education.

The Academy welcomes participants from all sporting codes, and places a strong emphasis on developing and nurturing athletic potential as well as cultivating leadership and identity to create leaders both on-and-off the field.

The program kicks off with a three-day, non-residential camp which includes introductory sessions on physical fitness, peak performance, leadership and identity.

Participants will engage in structured follow-up days throughout the calendar year, including face-to-face and online sessions where mentors will check-in to provide guidance and practical support, helping them refine and recalibrate their goals along the way.

SENIOR GIRLS SPORTS ACADEMY

The Bachar Houli Foundation Senior Girls Sports Academy is a year-long program designed for 15 to 17-year-old Islamic girls hosted in Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland.

The Academy framework focuses on multi-sport high performance training, education and leadership for Muslim girls across Australia.

The 12-month program starts with a three-day intensive non-residential camp where participants, in a culturally-safe environment, will be exposed to a high-performance environment, learning about physical fitness, peak performance, leadership and identity.

Participants will engage in follow-up days throughout the calendar year, engaging with their mentors who will provide guidance and support on personal and physical goals.

Brought to life by dedicated coaches and high-performance staff, the Academy framework has been developed to maximise the sporting potential of each participant in a culturally-safe and supportive environment.

The Academy is the pathway into the Bachar Houli Foundation’s National Senior Girls Academy – a five-day residential program centred around peak performance, leadership and identity.

NATIONAL SENIOR GIRLS SPORTS ACADEMY

The Bachar Houli Foundation’s National Girls Senior Sports Academy brings together Muslim participants from across Australia for an intensive high-performance camp.

The annual cohort is drawn from the Foundation’s state-based academies across Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland.

The four participants from each state who display outstanding athletic potential will earn selection into the National Girls Senior Sports Academy.

The cornerstone of the Academy is a five-day residential program which advances physical fitness, peak performance, leadership and identity.
