Changing their program format, the Foundation focuses on multi-sport high-performance training, education and leadership for Muslim girls aged between 12 and 17-years-old across Australia.
Offering high-performance training, education, and mentoring to mirror the format of its successful boys’ programs, the BHF delivered these academies to over 80 Muslim girls aged between 12 and 17-years-old across Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales throughout April and May, marking a successful national rollout of the program’s new format.
The BHF is committed to fostering a high-performance culture within the Islamic community and providing opportunities for young women to pursue their potential both on and off the field, with Ahmed Saad saying he was excited by the positive reception from the academies, nationally.
“Our purpose is to provide opportunities for young Muslims to reach their potential,” Saad said.
“It’s really gratifying to hear that the participants were more engaged and enthusiastic about the program offering this year…through this new structure, we will offer even greater opportunities for young Muslim women to grow as athletes and leaders in a culturally-safe and supportive environment,” Saad said.
The best participants from each state will earn selection into the National Girls Program, held in New South Wales later this year.
