With over 800,000 Muslims living in Australia and the prevalence of misconceptions and negative stereotypes about Islam, the Bachar Houli Foundation has developed a ‘Discovering Islam’ workshop to provide a fundamental understanding of the religion as well as how to create an inclusive and safe work environment for Muslim employees.
The workshop aims to cultivate knowledge and understanding of Islam while empowering participants to foster a welcoming and inclusive work environment for Muslim colleagues, employees, players, and coaches.
The Bachar Houli Foundation’s annual Iftar dinners aim to provide insight and industry education into the holy month of Ramadan, which is celebrated by over 1.8 billion Muslims around the world.
Across five states, the Bachar Houli Foundation hosts Iftar dinners in conjunction with the AFL, Richmond Football Club, GWS Giants, SANFL, AFLQ and the WAFC, and reaches over 1,000 guests annually.
