The Bachar Houli Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation that operates twelve unique programs that reach over 5,000 young people annually. The Foundation’s mission is to foster community harmony and provide development opportunities for young Muslims through sports.
Compass is a leading school management system, serving more than 3,000 K-12 schools and three million users. Their cloud-based software streamlines administrative workflow and enhances parent engagement through a comprehensive suite of school management tools.
As part of the partnership, Compass will support the Foundation’s Bachar Houli Cup, a national schools program engaging Islamic primary and secondary schools, and its annual Ramadan Iftar dinners hosted in five states and reaching over 1,000 guests each year.
Bachar Houli, the founder of the Bachar Houli Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm for the new partnership. “We are so excited to have Compass as our first education partner. Their focus on connecting communities through education technology aligns with our values and mission,” he said.
“We’re looking forward to collaborating with Compass on our annual Bachar Houli Cups and Iftar dinners, which we’re able to engage thousands of Muslims and non-Muslims alike annually.”
“With Compass’ support, we will be able to expand our national reach, and have both a valuable and lasting impact on those who come across our (Bachar Houli) Cups, as well as our Iftar dinners.”
Compass’ CEO, John de la Motte, added “We are delighted to partner with an organisation that focuses on community outcomes at its core,” he said. “ Through our collaboration with the Bachar Houli Foundation, we aim to strengthen connections and empower schools to better support their students and communities through innovative technology.”
The Islamic College of Sport, powered by the BHF, is among 200 schools that transitioned to Compass this year to improve operational efficiency. Since implementing Compass, the College has seen significant improvements in parent engagement and student wellbeing. The College offers students the chance to explore their faith and identity through applied education connected to real-world sports industry experiences.
